The Bookhouse home B&B – Eco-Friendly Retreat in Nature
Poggio San Marcello, Ancona ProvinceMy home was created from a renovation project using green building techniques, recycling and reusing eco-friendly and high-quality materials like stone and wood, and powered by renewable energy. It’s surrounded by a forest of oaks, walnuts, figs, and other fruit trees, as well as a vast meadow. It’s the ideal refuge for adventurous and curious travelers who care about the environment and seek a stimulating, shared vacation, but also for those who want to relax, read, reflect, and breathe clean air and positive energy. The house is just a few kilometers from Jesi, in a hilly area—perfect for exploring the coast or, above all, the beautiful Marche hinterland, a region full of art, nature, and culture. Discover the castles of Jesi, the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi, Genga, the Sentiero del Papa, and the Abbey of San Vittore alle Chiuse; the castle of Avacelli and the Scappuccia Valley gorge, shaped by the stream of the same name. Visit Cingoli and its waterfalls, a peaceful oasis to cool off on hot days. Then head to the coast and the vast Conero Park with its secluded beaches and clear waters. Enjoy these routes alongside delicious tastings of local wines and products. The Bookhouse B&B is also a place to stay, read, study, reflect, and, above all, work remotely thanks to fast, reliable internet. Slow life, fast Wi-Fi. I live here with my books, many friendly, calm cats, two gentle elderly dogs, and some hens. The cats don’t have access to the private guest area, but this is still a home for cat lovers and those who enjoy interacting with animals.
